YOU'RE THE ONE HAUNTING ME
{Words} 856 {Tagged} Keiji {Wearing} Her red outfit
Kasumi sat in front of the terminal that was stationed before her. Graceful fingers tapped away at various things as she scanned the readings that were coming through. This would be great information to have. After all, one never did know when they would need blackmail, and here it was, sitting right in front of her. And having that information on some of the most important alliance figures made it all that much better. Inserting her data chip into the terminal, Kasumi tapped a few more buttons and quickly scanned the message that told her the information was downloading. "Oh delicious.", she chirped. For the moment, she had nothing to do - at least until the data downloaded. With that in mind, she leaned back in the all too comfortable chair and yawned lazily. Some part of her reveled in this information. Kasumi thought for a minute on what she had learned - and why it had peaked her interest. She would admit that the Alliance was far from her favorite organization in the world. They hadn't done anything to her, of course, but she blamed them for Keiji's death. They had ultimately signed his death warrant, after all, by placing that damned spotlight on him and the information he had. Was she holding a grudge? Maybe. But Hock was dead, so she couldn't really be angry at him anymore.
Even in her state of half awareness, she heard the footsteps that echoed in the hallway outside of her room. "Crap.", she muttered. Tapping her omni - tool, Kasumi was able to cloak right before the door hissed open and Mr. High and Mighty himself walked in the room. Holding still in the chair, Kasumi breathed carefully while she watched him walk closer to her. Oh no. A moment of panic settled into her. When his hand snagged the back of the chair, Kasumi launched herself off of it. Unfortunately, the only place she could go and not disrupt anything was underneath the desk. Promptly - but silently - she ducked underneath and squished herself toward the back. Oh great... "Downloading in progress?" His voice was puzzled. Hardly daring the breath, the thief propped her hands on either side of the desk as he rolled the chair further underneath. With hardly any room to move, Kasumi propped her feet up against the sides and formed a triangle with her body. She swore if she breathed heavily, he would feel the breath on his pant legs. Well...as enjoyable as this was, Kasumi felt her muscles start to ache from her ridged position. 'God, move your chair you lumbering oaf.' Unable to move without detection, Kasumi grit her teeth and rolled her head back in an attempt to endure the cramping of her muscles. A few unsavory words came from above her, causing a smirk to show beyond her distress.
The noises coming from above were a sure sign he was getting his phone out. "Transfer to front desk." It took supreme effort not to groan aloud. The front desk...of course he was calling the front desk. "Britta? Yes, it's-...of course we're still on for later. Your quarters?" Kasumi felt like screaming at him. 'Can you not keep it in your pants for four minutes?' Why couldn't he keep his sex to himself? She was dying here! "Hey, Britta, you haven't been up to my office have you? It says something is downloading...you haven't?" Kasumi felt her palms start to get sweaty. 'You hairy wildebeest.', she raged mentally. A shift on his part made her arch her back and press her spine into the wood above her. This was going great. "Contact security! There must have been a breach in the systems." With that he finally rolled out from under the desk. With a whoosh of breath, Kasumi slumped down and landed on the ground. Taking no time to recover, she rolled out from under the desk, snatching her chip from the computer.
Yet as she moved out, her foot caught the now empty chair, propelling it to the side slightly. Instantly she stilled. "Hello? Who's there?" The director pulled a weapon out from his desk as he demanded to know who she was. Oh great... Rolling to the side, Kasumi pressed her back against the side of the desk, peeking over her shoulder as the man started walking around to her side. How to lure the man out of the room...how...how...hmmm, perhaps...
Tapping at her omni-tool, Kasumi got inside the systems while she shifted to avoid the constant wandering of the director, still shouting to ask who was there. Kasumi slipped back toward the door. She couldn't open it without him knowing...so how was she going to- Footsteps alerted her and Kasumi was just in time to jump back as two security guards burst into the room. Kasumi ducked out of the door and took a few steps backward and watched as the door slid shut. With a victorious grin, Kasumi uncloaked and turned to swagger away from the office.
Shepard had been right about the valuable things to steal.
{NOTES } Oh that was fun...

"Twenty seconds."
Keiji's voice was quiet and emotionless, that of an indifferent man giving orders as he concentrated on the door in front of him. Two individuals - one man, one woman - flanked him to either side and watched the hallways with silenced automatic weapons trained, both covered in black, light-dampening fabric from head to toe and enough armor to stop nothing but small arms fire, much as Keiji himself was. Only he was the one that stood out, his omni-tool illuminated and glowing against his mask as he worked to unlock the high security door ahead of him and gain the three entry to the work space of the Crucible, the Alliance's supposed prize project to destroy the Reapers. The Alliance's codes were not as tough to crack as many, especially not for someone who had once worked for them. They may have changed their codes, but the thinking remained the same. Keiji was in faster than the designated twenty seconds, as the door's lock turned green. He immediately stood to his feet, the two at his side turning and checking the next hallway for Alliance personnel ahead of him as the doors swung open. Keiji did not look up, still staring at his omni-tool, as muffled gunshots rang out in the hallway and two bodies clanged against the floor.
Keiji advanced at the sound and rushed forward to the next door, a pair of "clear"s ringing in his ears from his two associates. Keiji replied, "Fifteen seconds." The same process was repeated - the two infiltrators flanking him, Keiji in the middle working on his omni-too - until this door, too, was open, and Keiji found himself looking at the back of a man clad in Alliance armor and turning to face him. Before the man could even take one step, though, he had been brought to the ground and his forehead bashed into the steel floor by the female infiltrator, who proceeded to immediately drag the body off to the side and into the shadows. Keiji didn't give either a second look, continuing on. He was nearly to his destination now, and his Cerberus handlers would only be pleased if the mission was done briskly, before the Alliance had reason to believe that anything had gone amiss at all.
Opening a holographic box on his omni-tool as he crossed through this hallway like the last, Keiji produced a set of omni-blades from the box and shut it again, letting it form back into his arm. Those blades were quickly wedged between two panels in the wall at the far end of the walkway before Keiji spent several seconds peering between them and his omni-tool, seemingly adjusting a setting. Then, he stepped away, back towards where the infiltrators were waiting as the blades started to beep, the speed of the beeping increasing until an explosion rattled the hallway and the nearby rooms. The infiltrators poured through immediately, Keiji hanging back to scan the room before him to the sound of light gunfire. He found the computer terminal he searched for in its far corner just as the gunfire stopped, and he stepped through his newly made opening, making a beeline for the computer. Some part of him, deep down, questioned "why?," but the activity and the noise in his head informed him that he should not ask such questions - only perform admirably.
